In Strasbourg, there are two establishments to welcome the children.

FAMILY ROOM “LES CIGOGNES”

During Strasbourg's part-session weeks, members of staff can have their children between the ages of three months and six years looked after in the family room Les Cigognes.

The family room can accommodate up to 35 children and is located on the first floor of the Winston Churchil building (see the map(JPG)) (Tel. 74109 / 72442, during part-session weeks).

Opening hours:

  • Mondays from 13.30 to 20.00;
  • Tuesday to Thursday from 8.00 to 20.00.

Payment

Upon receiving the enrolment request, the family room manager will provide bank account details. Payment should be made by bank transfer to this account.

The transfer should cover the number of tickets requested (one ticket per half-day). On the transfer form, please specify the number of tickets required and the child’s forename(s) and surname.

Tickets cost EUR 5.40 per half day (8.00 to 14.00 or 14.00 to 20.00). Tickets are valid for half a day only. If the child stays all day, two tickets must be presented on arrival in the morning.

When you get to the family room, you will need to show a copy of the bank transfer to the family room manager, who will give you your tickets.

You will then need to give the relevant number of tickets to one of the childcare workers and sign the register to confirm that you have done so.

Please note that unused tickets cannot be refunded.

COUNCIL OF EUROPE CHILDCARE CENTRE

The European Parliament also has a few places at the Council of Europe Childcare Centre reserved for Parliament agents posted in Strasbourg.
